Sheamus vs Randy Orton

WWE Champion Sheamus will be the first to admit that his ruthless in-ring style and tendency to bend the rules have catapulted the irritable Irishman to great heights in WWE, earning him two WWE Title reigns in under a year. That relentless attitude helped The Celtic Warrior retain the WWE Title against Randy Orton at SummerSlam, clinging to his beloved championship after attacking the match official and getting disqualified. However, Sheamus could hardly escape Orton’s clutches after the match when he found himself at the receiving end of a venomous RKO onto the announce table.

Targeting Orton’s right arm, Sheamus used his weight advantage and notoriously hammer-like offense to weaken his opponent early in the match, enjoying the brutality all the while. But serpents are most dangerous when they’re wounded, and The Viper soon sank his fangs into the pale-skinned pugilist, much to the delight of the sold-out crowd at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. But after Orton kicked out of the WWE Champion's punishing Brogue Kick, a frustrated Sheamus went outside the ring for a steel chair. The referee tried to pry the weapon from The Celtic Warrior's grasp, but was shoved off the ring apron and onto the ground in return, resulting in a disqualification.
